Shontelle N. Murrell-Hinkson

Shontelle is a Partner of the Firm. Shontelle graduated from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus with a Bachelor of Laws degree with Upper Second Class Honours in 2004.

Overview

Shontelle is a Partner of the Firm with over eighteen (18) years’ experience in private practice representing individual clients and diverse corporations in a vast range of civil matters.

Shontelle has a Bachelor of Laws with Upper Second Class Honours as well as a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of the West Indies. In addition, she obtained her Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School as well as a Certificate in Mediation having completed an intensive alternative dispute resolution clinical program placing emphasis on negotiation and mediation skills.

 Over the years, Shontelle has developed her expertise in the area of Corporate and Commercial Law working on a number of local, regional and international corporate and commercial transactions, including, but not limited to, cross border financings, corporate insolvency, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions. She also renders general corporate advice.

 In addition, Shontelle oversees the Firm’s personal injury and immigration practice.

 In her early years of practice, Shontelle served as a board member of the National Council on Substance Abuse. More recently, she has made presentations to various statutory boards of Barbados on Corporate Governance and Accountability.

 Shontelle is a married mother of one.
