Kimberley P. Knight

Kimberley graduated magna cum laude from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Huntsville, Alabama, USA in December 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and a Minor in Finance.

Overview

After working as a manager in the US until 2010, Kimberley returned to Barbados and completed graduate level training in Finance and Economics at the University of the West Indies, School of Graduate Studies.

During that period Kimberley founded two firms, one of which offered a range of research, operations, corporate and executive services. The other dealt primarily in the importation, wholesaling and retailing of middle and high-end fashion wear and accessories, alongside the formulation, manufacturing, marketing and distribution of its own luxury brand of organic hair and skin care.

Kimberley later attended and graduated from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus where she attained the Bachelor of Laws, Ll. B (Hons) in 2016 and subsequently commenced her legal training at Hugh Wooding Law School in 2017.

Kimberley was admitted to practise law in October 2019, and joined the firm of  George Walton Payne and Co. 

Achievements

  • Full academic scholarship to the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University 
  • A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated
  • Attended Monster Diversity Leadership Programme 
  • Awarded “Most Outstanding Parish Ambassador” for the year 2012.
  • Served on the Barbados Constituency Council for the Parish of St. Joseph from 2013 to 2015. 

Kimberley remains engaged in charitable and community work, with a focus on at-risk children and youth.
